What does Barboni stand for?

The name "Barboni" is actually the Italian word for "poodle".

Barboni is a Professional Grooming Salon in Hemiksem, near Antwerp.

You can reach us Monday to Friday, but only after appointment.

We offer a full treatment for your dog.

A treatment consists of clipping nails, cleaning ears, clip the feet, washing, drying and grooming according to the breed standard or a model agreed with the client.

Therefore we only use the best Shampoos and products specifically designed for the dog.  If needed these products can also be ordered in our shop.

We only treat one dog at a time, to make the experience as short and pleasant as possible for you and your dog.

The Salon and Wasking Area have been designed with the safety of you beloved companion in mind, and everything is disinfected daily.  There is also Airconditioning present, to make the visist pleasant even during the hot sumer months.

Together with you we always try to find the most trendy clip for your dog, so you and your dog always leave with a happy feeling.

Barboni is mainly specialised in Poodles and scissoring breeds, but other races are off course also welcome.

From the little Chihuahua till Newfoundlander, or even your short-haired dog is welcome for a refreshing wash and cut.

You can always stay with your dog during treatment, we have installed a cosy waiting corner just for this purpose.

Who are we?

Barboni is managed by Daniella Vereeken.

Trough her successfull participation in International Grooming Competitios, Daniella always stays up to date on the latest trends and developments.

Daniella, at the age of 13, received her first Standard Poodle, which she Groomed and Handled at Show herself.

When she was 18 she started competing in Grooming Competitions.

In only 5 years (2002 till 2007) Daniella has won 19 Gold medals, 1 Silver and 8 Bronze medals at International Grooming Competitions and has received 7 Best in Show titles.

In 2003, at the age of 19, she became Best Belgian Groomer and Benelux Grooming Champion.

After this she became Best in Show at Pragobest 2004, German Grooming Masters 2005, Milangroom 2006, European Team Winner 2006, Groomania 2007 and Certo Grooming 2007.

Daniella has been part of the Official Belgian Grooming Team, and is also a recognized Judge of the European Grooming Association.

This means that she can be asked to judge National and International Grooming Competitions.

In her spare time Daniella creates paintings and drawings of dogs, some examples can be viewed on the Art section of this site.

These works of art are also for sale, or you can also ask for a more personal work aswell.
